Boubacar Ba
Boubacar El Hadji BA is a lawyer and Director of the Centre d'analyse sur la Gouvernance et la Sécurité au Sahel (CAGS-NGO Eveil). He previously worked as coordinator of the NGO Eveil in the Mopti region from 1998 to 2008 (Mali) and as an expert at UNDP on community conflicts, social cohesion and small arms as well as peace-building (2009 to 2016), and at UN Women as regional coordinator of the ECOWAS-EU Project on gender, security sector reform and the fight against violent extremism from 2019 to 2020. He is the author of two books: Pouvoir ressources et développement dans le delta central du Niger (L'harmattan sahélienne, 2010) and Crise de gouvernance, justice transitionnelle et paix durable au Mali (La Sahélienne, 2016).

Brema Ely Dicko
Bréma Ely Dicko is full professor at the Université des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines de Bamako (ULSHB). He is the former head of the sociology and anthropology department and an associate researcher at the URMIS (migration and society research unit) at the University of Paris 7 Denis Diderot. His research focuses on Malian migration to France and Mali, African migration to Mali, intra-African mobility and violent extremism in central Mali.
Tchello Kasse
Tchello is a PhD candidate at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). He holds a master's degree in education from Yogyakarta State University, Indonesia, and another master's degree in humanitarian studies from the Kalu Institute, Spain. He is currently a research associate at the Centre d'analyse sur la gouvernance et la sécurité au Sahel, where he focuses on the conflict in central Mali. His research focuses on conflict prevention and resolution, violent extremism in central Mali, education, humanitarian aid and political ecology.
Nengak Daniel Gondyi
Nengak Daniel Gondyi is a doctoral student at the Department of International Environmental and Development Studies at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. His research focuses on migration, citizenship, mediation and the fight against extremism in Nigeria.
Ibrahima Poudiougou
Ibrahima holds a double PhD (2023) in Anthropology and African Studies (Universities of Turin (Italy) and Leiden (Netherlands)). His research focuses on the articulations between land-use conflicts and armed violence in Mali and the central Sahel, with particular attention to the appropriation/dispossession of land resources, rural migration, and armed mobilizations among rural communities (self-defense movements in particular).
Elieth Eyebiyi
Dr Elieth Eyebiyi is a senior researcher in Sociology, Anthropology and Urban Studies, holding two PhDs from Benin and Canada. Broadly, he researches within the fields of development, mobility and migration, governance, informality and land issues in borderlands.
Hannes Bräuer
Hannes Bräuer is a PhD candidate in the Landresponse project. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from NMBU and a master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Oslo. His research interests include migration, international politics, political data science, conflict research, Global Political Economy, Critical Security Studies, and mixed methods.
